I was born in Northern Cambria, PA and graduated from Northern Cambria High School in 2009.

I attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Education (K-12) as well as a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Hispanic literature and culture.

During my studies at IUP, I studied abroad in Valladolid, Spain, where I lived with a Spanish family for 5 months.  This experience improved my communication skills, my knowledge of Spanish culture and history, and permitted me to travel through the country and parts of Morocco, Africa.  Additionally, I established professional relations with school districts and families in Spain.

My oral proficiency in the Spanish language has been rated at "Advanced-High" according to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL). I received this rating in 2012.

I am featured on IUP's website to promote their program for Spanish Education in the United States.

Upon graduating from IUP, I began my career at Franklin Regional School District in 2013 - present.

While working at FR during 2014-2016, I continued my education and earned my Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) in Spanish Education.

In 2017, I became the World Language Department Coordinator for FRSD.

I have developed and delivered presentations to my colleagues and other professionals in the field of foreign language on topics such as creating a simulated immersion environment in the classroom and designing a curriculum focused on performance, proficiency, and culture.

One of my lessons for teaching grammar and culture through language was published in the Pennsylvania Modern Language Association's journal
