Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Student/Parent Agreement

The Franklin Regional Senior High School will be implementing a BYOD program starting August 26, 2013.

Bring Your Own Device allows for students to bring in their own personal, approved technology into the school building for their academic use. Students are expected to follow all guidelines and are fully responsible for taking care and securing their device throughout the day.
Students must agree to and adhere to the following:
  • Students can only use their devices when the classroom teacher permits and for assigned purpose.
  • Students must use the district protected wifi and not their own 3G or 4G connection.
  • The student device must be fully charged upon arrival because the school lacks adequate charging capabilities at this time.
  • Each student must know how to attach to a wireless network. Franklin Regional will provide a secure and protected network for student use.
  • Students must adhere to the district Acceptable Use Policy. Any violation of the policy can result in loss of student technology privileges.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to record the serial number of each of their devices and keep that in case of a lost or stolen device. It is also recommended that students should also mark the device so it can be easily identified.
  • The FRSD is not responsible for any technical issues that may arise while using personal devices in school.
  • The FRSD is not responsible for any lost or damaged devices.
